How To Get Grey Hair

Hey guys, long time no post.

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! I've been occupied with uni (and well... I have been to lazy to update to tell you the truth but now I am back on and I shall be posting more regularly.)

3 weeks ago I decided to dye my hair grey due to 2 reasons:
  1. My roots were looking ugly and needed a touch up.
  2. I've been wanting grey hair for such a long time but never had the guts to do it.

So I decided to have it done at Charlie Brown, I've had enough of dyeing my hair myself and not getting the results I want. I had a consultation with the hairdresser (Rachael) and she definitely knew what I was going for; she even said realistically it is very hard to go grey in one session especially when my hair is dark. But since I had pre-lightened my hair to a platinum blonde before it was very easy to lift the caramel colour out of my hair.

Grey is a cool colour because it's different but it's not so different that people will give you the eye when you walk down the street. I have to say that it does wash out very easily; and that is when I turn to my holy grail: FUDGE shampoo and conditioner, it is literally the best toner you can have on a budget.

To be honest, the hair colour I have no isn't my desired colour. I would want a dark steele grey colour with my roots blended in. Currently my roots still stick out like a sore thumb but I shall perservere and wait till my next pay day since Christmas shopping has taken it's portion out of my bank account.

The bottom line is, if you want any pastel or grey colour, you will have to bleach your hair and that will mean your hair will be damaged. You will have to make sure you take the time to maintain it and you can't be lazy about it.

I will also share my video here:

Thank you for reading and leave any tips you have for maintaining your dyed hair.
