Travel Diaries - Greece

Thassos, a small island with a population of 13,500 by the north of Greece. Sunshine, crystal clear waters and gorgeous food, this place was the cherry on the cake for my travels this year. All I could see was endless blue - and I loved it. Blue happens to be my favourite colour so it was like being in paradise surrounded by cloudless sky and clear glistening water.

Everything was naturally beautiful and untouched - the locals have a lot of pride with Thassos. It is also home to one of the rare wrinkly olives that is only grown on this island. I managed to try one and it's very salty.

Also regarding Greece's current economic state, it didn't seem to have reached Thassos at all. Perhaps it was due to us being on a small island away from the capital.

Unfortunately, I didn't experience the cultural side of Thassos (apart from the food - mousaka and tzaziki mmh). We were mainly exploring beaches for our stay but who can blame us when England's beaches are so well...under par.

Thanks for reading and I hope you have enjoyed my series of trips. I shall forever post throwbacks on my instagram :').
