Let the Light Shine + Exhibition Footage

I have been involved in a moving image and sound workshop for six weeks and it has been a pleasure to make films within that time period. It was my first time making films thus I didn't know what to expect from it. Taking snaps for photography is a breeze because it is an instant shot but filming is another story. It's not only visual but also sound needs to be considered too.

You may have read about my "Light Babes" in my Elephant and Castle post. Well, we created individual films and also an installation for our final piece. It included a lot of dedication and coffee breaks.

So what was our theme about? : LIGHT

We thought of light as a traveler and filmed anything to do with light around London.

Here's the video of the exhibition.

Our setting was a stairway which had a special aura for our projections.

The footage were shared between us and we each created a video to project onto the walls. We also made soundtrack synonymous to tie our videos altogether. Here's the soundtrack if you want to listen to it: https://soundcloud.com/stephanie-fung-3/sound-babes

If I'm perfectly honest, this task was definitely not my standard style. I am a straight to the point person but through this workshop I learnt to be more abstract. That wasn't a bad thing because I really enjoyed it and it really tickled my fancy for making film in the future.
